Friends University Usrey to leave dean's post

The dean of the Friends University College of Business, Arts, Sciences, and Education will be the next president of a Lithuanian university, Friends announced Thursday.
Kyle Usrey will start his new position with LCC International University in Klaipedia, Lithuania next August. He will remain at Friends through the end of the spring semester.
"We appreciate Kyle's work and the contributions he has made during his time here at Friends University," said John Yoder, vice president of academic affairs at Friends University, in a written statement. "We wish him well and look forward to staying in touch. It may be that we can find ways to work together in the future."
Usrey wasn't immediately available for comment about his new position.
Prior to becoming dean at Friends in August 2007, Usrey was dean at Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash., professor of international business at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas and served at academic institutions in Australia and China. Usrey, an alumnus of the University of Colorado and Hardin-Simmons University, is an attorney with prior business experience in the telecommunications and publishing industries. Founded in 1991, LCC International University is a Christian liberal arts institution with 700 students from more than 25 countries.
