Taco Bell Offers Up Free Tacos Today, But Will Georgetown Students Be In On The Deal?

What goes with America's favorite pastime better than cheap Mexican food? That's the idea that Taco Bell is going for anyway. The fast food favorite (okay, favorite is a stretch) is a Major League Baseball sponsor so in honor of the World Series, Taco bell is offering a "steal a base, steal a taco" campaign.
Thanks to Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Jason Bartlett stealing second base in Game 1 of the series, Taco Bell is giving away millions of free tacos and everyone knows college students love free food, even if it is of questionable quality. So, if you have some time to stand in line today (and you know you have the time), get your one free Crunchy Seasoned Beef Taco from 2-6 p.m. at a Taco Bell near you.
However, the Georgetown Voice blog questions whether you can find this delicious deal at the nearest Taco Bell… the one on campus:
Look for an update tomorrow to see if Hoya Court's Taco Bell is among those participating in this promotion. Given the Hoya Court Subway's reluctance to participate in $5 Footlongs, it's dicey.
Still, even if you have to travel for the special, do it. Because one free taco is better than no free taco. And in today's economy, every 69 cents you can save is totally worth it.
